On the political front, I learned that California Republican Rep. Kevin P. Kiley filed a lawsuit against Governor Newsom for violating the CA constitution. Apparently, the Supreme Court of California took the case up directly, which is rare. The court date is set for this October.

Newsom’s lawyers inquired with Kiley this week to settle, but Kiley said in an instagram post that he will not settle until Newsom admits he violated the CA constitution and reopens California immediately. You can follow the story @kevinpkiley on instagram, or blog.electkevinkiley.com.
