9:36 am. I sold short TLT here. It is tagging resistance at the 21 sma on the day chart. I also bought some XME and FCX. I exited CHK and the remainder of UGAZ.

9:05 am PST. I scaled out of UGAZ for +2.13. I am not quite sure where we are in this wave in the larger picture, but I thought it time to exit in the 5-min wave.

8:53 am PST.

I bought a little DUST. GDX looks like an a-b-c wave iv retrace.

TLT looks about done on the retrace too. If it closes the gap from this morning, I would say bearish.

7:09 am PST.

CHK and EWZ look like buys to me today.

I will watch gold for a little bit this morning. The wedge on /GC is becoming ever so tight and it will soon break.

I am also watching FCX for a possible opportunity to buy on this retrace if the 13.26 low holds.

And XME might be a buy too if the 30.83 low holds.

Regarding nat gas, I would like to see another retrace wave tag of 3.48, but it might take off  again, just watching.

I am still looking for new highs in XLF and the indices, possible starting tomorrow at the open. Likewise, I am looking for new lows in gold and the miners at which point I plan to buy for a decent bounce back to the 4/8 moving averages.

TLT looks like it is ready to sell off again. The dollar, via UUP, closed slightly positive and I think we will see some good upside tomorrow and into the new year.

UNG had a nice shallow retrace and I think it could be about ready to rally again. It is surprising how well nat gas is trading so close to the holidays and with volume. It seems to be the one vehicle that is moving.

9:23. Minute wave ii looks done here. I am bullish on XLF with a target of about $24.50-25.

Here’s my ultra-bullish wave count for UUP. The UUP rally up to about $27ish would only be the completion of wave 3/(3)/V. UUP might ultimately rally to $30. We are in the ending stages, but we are not done yet.

8:41 This morning’s rally might just be the minute e-wave. The close will say a a lot.

I am watching /GC this morning for a possible new low. If we get that new low I may start buying some mining stocks.

The correction in XLF might be over and I will watch for a possible rally to at least 23.75.
