1:00 pm PST. SPX looks like it wants to make another attempt at 2405, maybe 2408 tomorrow. I felt like I was just talking to myself today. I guess most people who know how to trade usually do not say anything, or charge for their services, or they are already trading with other people. Everyone else is silent!!! I need people to talk with. Trading can get so lonely at my home office. A little bit like solitary confinement with your computer screens. I need to go find some trading friends. It would be so nice to trade at a hedge fund, at least have some people to talk with about the market other than myself, my computer screens, and websites.

12:14 pm PST. I closed out half my GLD puts +25%. I wanted to hold them until tomorrow, and probably should have scaled out earlier when they were up 60%. I had planned to hold until tomorrow, but with this pop higher now into the close, it made me nervous, so I just exited half.

8:05 am PST. The FXY looks like it still needs to go down to 83.50, which gives a clue that gold might still go to 1200 this week and today is just a one-day bounce.

7:07 am PST. Closed NUGT on an overnight swing. Careful with the longs here. I may actually short the mining stocks today, depending. Whatever the case, the bounce is counter-trend. This could just be a one-day bounce in gold, or it could turn into two-three days. I am looking for a possible gap-fill this morning. Stopped on GDX puts -.02.

6:44 am PST. Closed my GDX lottos for 70%. GDX could go as high as 22.50.

6:25 am PST. Gold could do a 3-day bounce back up to 1237ish, possibly 1240.

1:02 pm PST. The S&P reached 2403.87, just shy of my 2405 target. Good enough. We might make one more attempt at 2405 tomorrow, or that might just be it before we consolidate again. If that is it, we could see SPX drop back down to the 2370 area over the  next few weeks.

12:47 pm PST. Bought a long-side lottery ticket on GDX. Target about $22.

12:16 pm PST. Changed my mind and sold DGLD too +3%.

12:01 pm PST. I closed out the remainder of my GLD puts +85%. Still have DGLD but I may get stopped out of them tomorrow, not sure. Just going to hold until I get stopped out.

8:36 am PST. The UUP dollar etf bounced right up off the bottom of the wedge yesterday. I expect it to rally up to the top trendline of the wedge and eventually break out to new highs.

8:04 am PST. Saw a block trade on GLD at 115.80 for 190,000. It appears the MMs are starting to take profits on their shorts. But I continue to look for 1200. However, I may exit my shorts a little sooner and then get back in….depending. The mining stocks are a lot stronger than gold, usually a tell, as mining stocks often lead gold directionally. Watching GDX, JPY/USD, and $DXY are all great indicators. Everything is connected.

7:12 am PST. Scaled out GLD overnight swing puts weeklies expiry this Friday. Still holding onto some with expiry next week. It is not quite done yet.
